We had never been to Borris House. To be honest we hadn’t even heard much about it before Stags & Vicky’s gorgeous wedding there at the beginning of the Irish Summer. We can honestly say though that it is one of our favourite places we’ve ever worked at. A cool couple with a super impressive sense of style definitely helped too!
Nestled in the quaint village of Borris, Co. Carlow lies the house, which is still a working farm and one of the few Irish estates which can date it’s history back to Ancient Ireland. Aside the main house lies a beautiful little Anglican chapel which the couple duly made use of for their ceremony.
Vicky and Stags travelled over from England along with over 150 guests. Vicky’s father had been born on the Estate and she had always wished to return for her wedding. The Bride definitely got her wish.
This was an exceptional day. From the jovial pre drinks in the nearby Step House Hotel, to the excitement of the ceremony and the jubilant atmosphere of mingling friends and family. Thankfully we were able to steal the couple away from their guests for a little time by themselves before the rest of their evening celebrations kicked off. It was all imbued by superb little details designed by the Bride reminding everyone ‘The Hunt is Over’.
Ladies and Gentlemen… Stags & Vicky!
