‘Like a river flows
so surely to the sea darling
so it goes, some things are
meant to be.’ Elvis Presley
When I first met Suzanne to chat about her and Tomás’s wedding plans I quickly got excited about what she was telling me. Everything Suzanne was planning sounded like a dream. She started off by explaining they wanted their vows to take place in a little church that was over 200 years old, no heat or electric, just some candles and window light to set the scene. Suzanne chose to wear a vintage tea length dress from Marie Me Bridal (House of Mooshki) and her maids gorgeous baby blue dresses from Cathedral gowns. What got me excited the most was Suzanne’s openness to venturing into some open fields to capture some beautiful photos of her big day. We talked about locations and the possibilities of the gorgeous landscapes that surrounded her home town.
When the day came round though it told a slightly different story, the morning started off dry and Suzanne was as cool and calm as ever. A busy household with 10 other siblings, it was a great day of family fun and celebration. We took some photographs on Suzanne’s family farm, just in front of the house her dad lived as a child. We then headed off to the quaint little church were Suzanne and Tomas exchanged vows. It was a beautiful service complete with amazing Irish music. Afterwards we nipped into their local bar for some refreshments.
The weather began to turn though but we still managed to get some bridal party photographs taken at Ballywalter Estate as well as a few with just the two of them. Hoping the weather would clear on our journey down to the reception venue (at Clandeboye Lodge) we continued on searching for fields. No such joy, the further we travelled the heavier the rain seemed to get. That didn’t dismay us though we continued on with the evening reception, meal and speeches and just as everything was finishing the sun started to break through the clouds so Suzanne and Tomas jumped in our car along with the guys from Catch (wedding films) following behind us we stopped off at a field not far from the reception. We all jumped out and managed to steal some amazing shots of just the two of them in that gorgeous open filed with a glimpse of the remaining sunset glow as a backdrop…. just perfect!
We finished off with Suzanne and Tomas at first dance and my word it was a great one. With Suzanne’s short tea length dress teamed with the pairs amazing choreographed dance moves, it left a first dance as one to certainty remember. It was the best day spent with the best couple. So chilled, relaxed and just all round good fun! Massive congratulations to you guys again from Adam and me and thank you both so much for letting us be a part of such a special day! So much love for you both!
