Belle Isle Estate sits on an island encompassed by the River Erne and situated at the Northern most point of Upper Lough Erne in Co. Fermanagh. It’s one of those places where you can truly escape everything and let the tranquility of the surroundings take over.
Travelling all the way from Maryland, USA, Alex and Lauren had always dreamed of tying the knot in a Castle, especially after enjoying a previous trip to Scotland. Lauren explains,
“Alex joked in passing ‘Let’s get married in a castle! I’ve always promised to treat you as a princess’. Our trip came to an end, and we flew back home, but what Alex said had stuck.”
And so the search began. Soon the pair discovered beautiful Belle Isle and the date was set.
Not only was this a wedding but also a group holiday. After lots of planning and saving the day arrived and so had 33 American guests in rural Fermanagh.
A fun-filled morning was followed by a sumptuous ceremony in Belle Isle’s sunken garden. Alex and Lauren had the pleasure of being surrounded by friends and family as well as being blessed by an unusually warm Irish Summer’s day.
We made the most of the weather by strolling round the luscious grounds with the bridal party before going off the beaten track with this gorgeous pair.
We were so pleased Alex and Lauren’s dream came true and we had the pleasure of capturing it all.
